Swoosh . . . here's episode three!
Episode three is the last episode from my first recording session. I have two other recording sessions recorded, and one of them has been edited.
__________
I've been working on a render of a Lapiz Point street for the past . . . 82 and a half hours. It's pretty cool, and it's very nearly done! Just about two more hours left on it!
I was planning to take it to 10k SPP, but I decided that 3.5k looks pretty decent. I'll save some power and just do 3.5k.
I am seriously excited to show off this image. I really love it.
__________
I recently did some server documentation work for someone who contacted me through dA. I took lots of images. Some of them will be posted to MCP, but many of them are references for me to make renders of the same scene once I can access the server's map. Once I get some renders going, I'll be able to throw those images in with Shathur City and Lapiz Point images I have yet to post. It'll be good to post an image of a different world each post, rather than a bunch of the same world.
__________
I have started thinking about doing server features! How I'm thinking that might work would be for someone to, out-of-the-blue, contact me on dA and ask me to check out there server. I may also feature servers I come across or have had experience on. I'll probably have a list of things the server has to meet (things like: is the server playable, does it have good upkeep, are the staff good and just, is it fuuuun?). If the server can pass those things, then I will make a formal journal post about the server giving links to their website (if they have one) and links to whatever else is needed. There'd also be a description of the server that I would write or the server owner or staff member would write.
I would also feature the server in any deviations I would post that would have content from the sever.
I'm pretty excited about this idea, and I hope you are too! It's still in the extremely early stages, but I hope I can make it work . . . stay tuned!

End Update.

Today's Update
I got a confusing e-mail today.
It looks like someone tried to buy a print of one of my most cherished images, but they weren't able to because of dA's fanart prints rules. DeviantART can't print fanart images because of trademarks and copyrights on the content. I had never thought of it that way because I come from a photography background where if you take an image, you own that image. Thought that probably doesn't mean I could just sell a print of a photograph of someone else's work, (for example: if I took a picture of someone's painting, I couldn't sell that picture because it shows someone else's work that belongs to them), it's still
Join Me in Towny
Hello Minecrafterers,
Declan here.
I've been playing on a towny server, as you may have seen form my recent journal. The server is about to have a war, and I have decided that after the war (war is this Sat. 1/31) I will be inviting anyone from deviant who is interested, to join my town. I hope I can get to interact with some of my long-term watchers and get to know them better, I think that'd be super awesome sauce, but you know, I'd be happy to talk with anyone. :D
I did a little poll a while ago to try to get an idea of the interest out there. 25 people wanted to play Minecraft with me, and 15 people were a maybe. THAT'S A LOT. :D

Update | Streaming Soon | Play with Me on Towny
Hello dear deviants,
A lot has been going on for me in the Minecraft world. It's mainly been Towny (A plugin similar to Factions PvP). I have been applying my knowledge gained from playing Factions PvP for two years, to creating a great town in Towny.
I've realized a few things: I can interact and get to know some of my dA followers; perhaps speed up some of my projects; and possibly grow my town and nation (which are both tree-themed) if I were to try to involve my deviantART watchers.
The current plan is for me to set up a Twitch.tv account then stream to my dA watchers, and whoever else decides to pop in. My goals are to teach what I kn
MinecraftPhotography 2015 Plans
It's very nearly the new year, here in central U.S. I've had many exciting things happen with MinecraftPhotography in 2014 and I can't wait to share those things with you, but for now, I am going to give you a glimpse at what might be on it's way.
The story of how my art got published in the fan-art section of a Minecraft-themed crafts book.
The mod that has a couple of my images as Minecraft paintings.
World downloads of builds or maps created by me may become optional downloads.
I will be looking into collaborations with other deviants.
A new look for MinecraftPhotography's main page.
Perhaps a video-format series of tutorials going o
