Quest to Capture--The Enterprise by MinecraftPhotography Quest to Capture--The Enterprise by MinecraftPhotography
Now is the beginning of my highest quality. Imagine your build captured at the detail that this one has been; go on, look closer. You can zoom in and the image is still sharp. This is achieved by a high-resolution panorama.

To give you a frame of referance, one 1080p screen shot is just over 2MP. This image of the Enterprise is 69 1080p images stiched together, for a total of nearly 27MP. That resolution is higher than your average D-SLR, and is what allows you to zoom in to the detail. Imagine a huge city captured with this quailty--you could zoom in, and see every detail; it breaks limitations.

Please note: this image has been flipped horizontally for composition reasons. That's why the sign that says: "Saucer Airlock" is backwords. Also, the insignia on the star-ship should also be backwards, it is not the builder's fault. A later image I took of this ship(at night) has not been flipped and has even higher detail. I plan to upload it in the coming days.

The builder for this creation I believe was: rustyshakelford2. He used a schematic to make the ship about two years ago, if I am not mistaken.

I hope you enjoyed this shot! I think it'd make a great desktop background.

I am making my work downloadable, and "Sharing Encouraged." Treat these shots as your own! Use them for whatever you like! Just don't forget who made it!

Taken in Minecraft 1.5.2

Edit on 11/5/2013,

This server used to have the IP mc.raycore.com. The server broke into two servers when both co-owners had a disagreement.

I have not made an effort to track down where the servers can be found currently, due to my mistreatment by several people on the server.

Hehe, it's quality is nothing to the kind of quality I can do today. The process has come a long way.

It's still a lot better quality than I have access to. If I want to take a minecraft photo on my xbox version (the only version I have), I have to use the game's screenshot option and post it to facebook.

By the way, do you know how to move large stone walls a large distance and back, and have it all loop. I want to make the maze from the book, The maze runner, and the layout changes every day in the book.

That's too bad about the Xbox being so limiting.

I don't! My best bet would be to look into command blocks, but I have no clue if the Xbox version of Minecraft has those yet or will, and I also only know one thing about command blocks: they do things. Beyond that, I know nothing about them.

Maybe pistons could work, but to get them to be two blocks high, and to change and make paths would take some really serious know-how.

I love the idea though! I plan to watch the movie of the book, soon.

Yeah, but I hope they add more updates.

I don't think we have command blocks yet, but I tried making sticky pistons pushing other sticking pistons, but for some reason, not all of the pistons stick together. I think the walls may be large enough to the mechanics, but I'm not good at hiding things like Redstone.

I want to see the movie too, I've read the first book and part of the second book.

Yeah, I hadn't heard of command blocks coming to anything but the full version.

Pistons and redstone are tough, I don't really mess with them because it takes so much time to learn.

Are there more than two books?

I don't even know what command blocks do.

Yeah, I once saw a self-building bridge on one of the old tutorial maps back when pistons were introduced in the xbox version. lava and water would combine into cobblestone, regular pistons pushed a cobblestone block whenever one was made. Then the growing trail of cobblestone stops at obsidian, and a row of regular pistons next to the trail will push trail to the side. On a loop the trail will be pushed so far, it would make a bridge. I could do something like that if I knew how to push it back like a sliding door.

There is a trilogy and a prequel. The second book is the Scorch Trials, and the third book is the Death Cure. I forgot what the prequel was called.
